For OSINT, the goal is not to search more. It is to search with less noise.

Good OSINT searches are built step by step.
Start with the most distinctive clue: a phrase from a sign, a company name, a location clue, a username, a document title, or an unusual combination of words.
Then refine.
If the results are too broad, add a domain, file type or exact phrase. If nothing appears, loosen the query. Remove words, try synonyms, search a different engine, or change the order of terms.
Strong search work is iterative. Each result teaches you how to improve the next query.

The best query is usually not the longest one. It is the one that contains the most distinctive evidence.
Different search engines index the web differently.
If Google does not return useful results, try another search engine before assuming the information is unavailable. Bing, Yandex, DuckDuckGo and specialist search tools may surface different pages, cached snippets or image results.
Experienced OSINT investigators compare results across multiple indexes rather than relying on one search engine.
Search is easy to lose track of.
Record useful queries, dead ends, promising domains and why you changed direction. This helps avoid circular searching and makes your final answer easier to justify.
A good OSINT finding should be explainable: what you searched, what you found, why it matters, and how it was verified.
